THE PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT

RELATIONS ACT

The Public Employment Relations Act (PERA) was passed into law in 1972. The majority of unionized public employees within the state of Alaska fall under the provisions of PERA.

The following information was written by the agency and included in their Labor Relations Agency Handbook. A copy of the Public Employment Relations Act follows the explanation of the agency.

If you have reason to believe that the Employer has engaged in any of the activities listed in this section, contact your local field staff for assistance.
