What can I do to make my thoughts known?

Actions you can take to influence the Legislature's process:
(in order of effectiveness)

• Hold a personal meeting with your Senator and Representatives.
• Write a personal letter to your Senator and Representatives.
• Telephone your Senator and Representatives.
• Send an email to your Senator and Representatives.
• Send a Public Opinion Message to your Senator and Representatives.
• Communicate with Members of the Committee the bill resides in.
• Communicate to other members of the Legislature.

Discuss the issues with your coworkers, and encourage them to get involved.

Attend any rallies or demonstrations that might be held or participated in by APEA/AFT.

Encourage your friends and neighbors to communicate with their Legislators.
